Went up to look at this stone circle today. It is not there as such. We know we were in the right place because we had a GPS. What we did find was what seemed to be the central cist and what we think may have been the remains of the paved areas refered to in Burl's text. There were however, a number of large boulders which were probably part of the circle but now lie on either side of a nearby wall. Other stones which may have come from the circle are in a rough pile at the corner of the field near to the road. We have a photo of some of the stones if you would like to see!! If you have any other info on this site please reply. Thanks Caroline and Richard.
